The Brookfield Zoo was established on July 1, year 1934 in the city of Brookfield and also goes by the name of Chicago Zoological Park.
If you prefer not to pay the $10 fee to park your car, this 216-acre public zoo can be accessed via the BNSF and Hollywood railways. It contains over 2300 animals belonging to 450 unique species within its walls. Adults will pay $16.95 to enter, $11.95 for children under 12 and senior citizens aged 65+. The Motor Safari, Hamill Family Play Zoo and great dining and shopping areas are just a tip of the iceberg of what you can expect to do during your visit!
