Frontier City is Oklahoma’s only amusement park which got its name and western theme from a hit single released by the band “Kings of Leon”.
Fun fact: the drummer Nathan Followill was once a member of the theme park’s staff. It opened up in 1958 at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds and has since built a total of 27 rides featuring 5 roller coasters and 3 water rides. It operates from the month of April until just after Halloween. To gain full access to this theme park as an adult, it will run you about $26.99. Kids’ prices are just $22.99.
