Hershey Park is a family oriented theme park located in Derry Township in Pennsylvania.
It was established in 1906 as a leisure park for the people who were employed at the nearby Hershey Chocolate Company, and was the brainchild of Milton S. Hershey. The park gained its first roller coaster ride in 1923 called The Wild Cat. In the 1970’s it became home to the east coast’s first looping roller coaster. The park now covers more than 100 acres and is home to more than seventy different rides and attractions including a waterpark and a zoo. Next to the park is the Hershey’s Chocolate World visitors centre.
